About Dr. Medway

Originally from Woodland Hills, Dr. Medway has opened his West Hills and Thousand Oaks offices for patients in need of weight management. Dr. Medway earned his B.A. in psychology at UCLA where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his medical school education doing honors work at George Washington University in Washington D.C. Dr. Medway's interest in weight control began during his Internal Medicine residency and culminated in multiple research publications. Dr. Medway has treated thousands of patients for obesity in the last twelve years. After earning board certification in Internal Medicine, Dr. Medway completed an additional one-year program of study in Weight Management and Clinical Nutrition at the UC Irvine Medical Center where he enjoyed the position of Assistant Clinical Professor and Obesity Research Co-investigator. In a culmination of Dr. Medway’s experience he was conferred the Certified Nutrition Specialist award. Dr. Medway is presently conducting research on new medications for weight control.
    Dr. Medway's interest in East-West medicine led him to China in 2002 where he studied the treatment of the body and mind as one integrative unit. He incorporates Acupuncture Point Stimulation Techniques learned in China on patients who need help with weight control. Dr. Medway tailors the weight control plan for the individual patient using a variety of techniques including nutritional instruction, personalized meal replacements, as well as medications. Dr. Medway does not perform obesity surgery, however, he manages these patients after their surgeries in order to ensure positive long-term outcomes.
